Pictures

I have been working on getting all of my pictures sorted on my computer and downloaded from my camera so I can put more new ones on here. The month of July is almost gone now, and it is hard to believe that the year is more than half over.

I have been having some success working on family history and have been able to get a lot done. I am working on about ten family lines right now and now need to get some notes organized so I can start entering the information into my PAF file. I haven't gotten to my boxes and binders of papers yet but plan to start tonight and work on it all this week.

My sister got transferred to a different grocery store. She is now going to be in the bakery so will probably be working the day shift instead of the night shift. So, no more of her sleeping in the day and working at night. We will finally all be back on the same schedule.

Thanks to an all day cleaning spree last Saturday my computer desk area is now one third of what it was. I shredded a ton of papers and now that the school year is almost done got rid of a lot of papers that you always need to hold onto just in case.

We had a good 24th of July weekend. We stayed home instead of going to the pioneer days celebration at the park on Friday and Saturday night. We had leftover barbecued steak, pork, and made BBQ pulled pork last night in the crock pot for today. The smell was divine all night.

School's back in Session

Now that the nephew is back in school all day for four weeks it is easier to get on here and update. A ten year old constantly asking to play computer games every time you want to check your Facebook and email slows things a bit. Plus the unending requests to play spider solitaire and Harry Potter games.

I finally worked on getting my scrapbook supplies, photo albums, office supplies, and genealogy supplies sorted. A good portion of them got put into the cabinet they belong in. I still have a few boxes of stuff to go through. Numerous binders full of papers with notes, plus addresses, emails, phone numbers, etc. all on loose pieces of paper randomly thrown into whatever binder was handy at the time.

I'm hoping I can get everything sorted and organized while nephew is at school the next four weeks so I can get a lot of genealogy done this fall. July is almost half over and this week looks to be the hottest so far this summer. Temperatures of 109F on Wednesday, 110F on Thursday, 110F on Friday, and 111F on Saturday are predicted.

It will be time for indoor activities like watch movies, and tackling my boxes of stuff mentioned above. With plenty of ice in the freezer and drinks, I may even get around to taking the pictures off my camera and putting new ones on here as well.

Has it been that long?

Holy Smokes! I cannot believe that it has been almost four months since I last posted anything. My sister Anna and her husband Bryan and daughter Bryanna moved out the end of April. A week and a half later my youngest sister Eve got back from Detroit, Michigan.

Eve got in at 8:10 am and at 1:35 pm my newest niece was born by C-section at the hospital on that Wednesday. Add in rearranging the house and Mother's Day, Memorial Day, nephew Mathew's birthday, a bout with the Flu, Father's Day, July 4th, and Eve's birthday today and sister's birthday tomorrow and here we are.
